The classic - the successful Arzberg 1382 shape. This Arzberg shape has made history. To this day, the simple and purposeful shape has lost none of its fascination. Eighty years ago, Gretsch completed the sketch of 1382 in the Arzberg model book with a final pencil stroke: it was the final farewell to impractical, ornate tableware and a clear “yes” to functional, aesthetically beautiful everyday porcelain: the “good shape” for every day. The 1382 shape is one of the absolute classics of modern industrial design and is even represented in the Museum of Modern Arts in New York as one of very few porcelain shapes.
